Homicide 10-065543 Dawn Lofton Seeking Closure: Lee County's Cold Cases

Just after Valentine’s Day in 2010, Lee County Sheriff’s office deputies received a call from a mother wanting to do a welfare check on her 37 year-old daughter, Dawn Lofton. A few months later, her fear would turn to reality, as Dawn Lofton’s remains were located in a wooded area off of State Road 82.
