Hooks of Horror releases every three weeks. Challenging aspiring creative people to work off the given prompt and complete a project within 21 days. share it on an appropriate platform and then post a link to social media using #HooksofHorror. Whether that’s a written piece, poetry or even a role playing adventure or campaign is up to the listener to decide. Linking the show to your work, or emailing a copy in to the show gets your work out there, and potentially narrated. Your host will be working alongside listeners to craft a story in the same time-frame, which will then be narrated for the next show. Think of it like flash fiction, but with a bit of extra time. There are no stakes, no need for perfection, just keep it spooky and do your best!

    The Hook:
Tell us a story of debts. Tell us a story of travel. Tell us a story of both.
A man travels through the city, on his way home to his family and friends. He stands to watch a street performer, laughs and claps with the rest of the crowd. When the time comes to pay the performer they all walk away. Money destined for treasures for their own kin. The traveler laughs at the performers plight. Not noticing the darkness in their eyes or the almost feral grin across their face. A few coins would have stopped the blood shed.

Looking Forward To More Episodes

This podcast is great if you are into creepypastas or No Sleep. It encourages you to participate by providing writing prompts. I can’t wait to see more and maybe even participate myself.

Terrific and creative

Most podcasts present you with a totally passive experience. Hooks of Horror, however, wants you to get in on the action. You work along side it to flex your creative muscles. It's unlike anything I've listened to before and it's a delight. Please take a listen and enjoy the ride! Plus, Justin's narration voice is FANTASTIC.
