Applicable and refreshing
I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t find this podcast relatable because Ellie’s story is a little different than mine - she was betrayed by her husband who left, while I was betrayed by my husband in a very different way and chose to leave for my safety. I assumed as the “spouse who left”, I would feel guilty listening to this, even though I know I made the right choice.
But that’s wasn’t true at all.
I’ve come to realize that all divorce stories have overlapping points, and a lot of the things Ellie felt, especially the - “was my marriage even real if the love was one sided?” Really spoke to my heart throughout various episodes. Also, the overarching story of God’s ultimate and perfect love for us is the needed reminder that even in the deepest, darkest places of betrayal and loss, we are still loved and seen by our father who is with us, and he still has an amazing new “Plan A” for my life, not a plan B.
Marriage Mindset
I really appreciate this encouragement on marriage. My husband and I have been married 1 1/2 years and I’m always looking for ways to grow and prevent divorce. These divorce prevention episodes have been really encouraging and have helped me recognize the things I can change. Thank you!!
Everyone in relationship!
I’m blown away by Ellie’s vulnerability and also ability to articulate practical tips and encouraging stories to move you from distrust to hope for the future.
