Later, John dives into how Lamar Jackson missed out on a $750,000 work-out bonus by not showing up to OTA's and even though the work-outs are voluntary, should Lamar have been there. Next, John talks about the Commanders cutting Brandon McManus and how kickers and punters have no leash if they screw up like other positions may have.

Get rid of Jmac

Love the show. Part of my daily podcast lineup. Jmac kind of drives me insane and his voice makes my ears bleed a little bit. He’s a little too arrogant for my taste. Miss Joy and Christine.

The best

One of the most insightful voices in sports talk, and has been for years. His takes are relatable to a non-sports fans, too, which you don’t usually find in the genre. When my wife, who isn’t a sports fan, catches part of a show, she always comments about how smart the takes are and how easy to understand the points are for a non-sports fan, all while also digging into the minutiae of sports.

Use to be trustworthy

I use to listen daily and felt Colon gave us honesty. He would always say that’s what he owes his audience.

Two things can be true at the same time.

He is honest and a complete elitist. He will take one fact and use it to complete his narrative and an opportunity to push an agenda.

He’s about getting paid and that’s the bottom line.
