How self-compassion and kindness lead to success--with Ana Weisberger It's Not About the Alcohol

    • Mental Health

After moving to New York City and achieving the American dream, Ana felt empty and disconnected. She tried many things and eventually went on a 2-week meditation retreat. In the silence, she realized that her life was filled with noise and chaos.
So she divorced her husband, quit her job, rented a house on a beach and embarked on a new career as a life coach.
After the initial burst of energy that comes with making big life changes, she realized that she still struggled with a lack of motivation and self-defeating coping skills.

She found the answer to be self-compassion and kindness to her body. And stopped measuring success by how life looks and instead focused on how life feels. Self-care became her top priority. Looking to honor herself instead of pleasing others, which included giving up substances--unhealthy food, cigarettes and alcohol-- felt joyful. Instead of feeling left out in a crowd of drinkers, she feels lucky.

Ana is a breakup coach who helps people find themselves so they can heal their dating patterns—whether they decide to stay, leave or pursue a new relationship. You can find her on Instagram @anaweisberger and at https://talkwithana.com
