*FOR TEENS* How to Feel Your Feelings - Interview with Rhonda Farr Okay. Now What? - A Show for The Young and The Anxious.

When you feel anxious, what do you typically do? Do you tense up? Distract yourself? Judge yourself? Try to push it away?
I know these were my default reactions to feeling anxious. I used to HATE it and do anything to avoid it - like not go up and speak to new people or sign up for the harder math class. And when I couldn't avoid it, I resisted it - if I was anxious about an exam or what someone was thinking of me, I'd try to white knuckle my way through it. I'd feel it growing in my chest like a big heavy knot, until that knot couldn't take anymore and I'd spiral into a massive meltdown over simple things (typically at my Mum, that poor woman used to cop the worst of my emotional outbursts!). But that's what happens when we try to resist our emotions, they get stuck in us and build up into an intesnity where they burst out like a kettle boiling over.
But there IS an alternative. One that helps our process through our emotions without fear so we can still take action towards matter most in life. And I brought Emotions Coach, Rhonda Farr, onto the show to teach us exactly how to do this. It all comes down to changing our RELATIONSHIP with our emotions - knowing how to sink into a place of acceptance, compassion and curiosity for whatever feelings come up. Especially the uncomfortable ones that society teach us is ''bad'' to feel - like anxiety, shame or overwhelm. These feelings in within themselves AREN'T a problem, our reaction to them are - so please make sure you check out this powerful interview with Rhonda to begin to learn one the most important life skills- how to FEEL your feelings - without fear, resistance or judgement. It's the greatest gift you can give yourself as a human being. Want to feel more confident and less stressed every day?
