University president Dr. Maria Cristina Sheehan of Sheehan Health and Wellness was out of shape, tired, and stressed. When a colleague died at his desk, Sheehan decided she needed to make radical changes. She called a trainer and started to get in shape, lose weight and become stronger.
Now, at 77 she is a certified trainer, who competes in fitness contests, and helps train and consults with others who want to live healthier, more energetic lives and feel good doing it.
Movement and strength training, even a few minutes a day can make dramatic impacts on our health and energy levels, she says.
In this episode, she explains how we can improve our strength, balance, and health no matter our age.
