About Dr. Anissa Short

Anissa Short is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and a current resident of Fayetteville,

North Carolina. She is one that finds joy in laughter, in serving, and seeing others

become the best version of themselves.

As a home-based entrepreneur since 1999, Anissa represents as a leader within the Direct

Sales Industry and has built an organization that includes a client base and team that

spans several states.

Anissa’s gift as teacher and encourager, and her service to others as

a business coach and advocate for home-based entrepreneurs, has led to establishing the

service platform, #TheWorkFromHomeCEO. As #TheWorkFromHomeCEO, she

facilitates and hosts workshops, summits, conferences and a weekly a podcast that serves

to educate, encourage and empower small business owners.

Anissa also became a best-selling author with the release of her first book, “As for

Me and My House”, an anthology that speaks to the challenges and successes of

entrepreneurs. Her second book, The Vendor Blueprint, a guide to home-based

entrepreneurs in representing in the marketplace, was released in February 2020.

Anissa’s educational background includes a Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees in

the areas of Business and Administration.

She contributes her success in life to her faith in God and the support of family, especially that of her husband, Mr. Alphonso Short. In

her spare time, Anissa enjoys reading and visits to the beach.
