But for the people of God, confession has always held an crucial place in following Him. Today, confession similarly holds a crucial place the our following of His Son Jesus. We confess our sins, big or small, because we are broken, and because we need healing. We confess not only our sins to our God, but also our belief in Him. And we are blessed to be able to confess through the words of the Psalms, which capture the rawness and authenticity of the human condition.5:15 - So does confession transform us as God’s people? What would it look like if we were a confessing people? For the guys, confession transforms the people of God into a community that is safe, trusting and loving towards broken people, such as ourselves. Only when we become a confessing people do we experience the healing and resurrection unto new life that Jesus offers.*
