Love this Podcast

I love listening to the stories. There is someone very close to me that we do not see eye to eye on politics and I still care for that person. At the end of the day I feel that nobody will ever undertand if they have not walked in that person's shoes. Everyone has a story and as an immigrant that came to this country at a young age I have worked really hard to get to where I am. I will continue to voice my opinion when it deals with minorities and discrimantion and the people on the right side will never understand. This country is lacking empathy and the current commander in chief does not have it as well as his followers.

Not the only one

Listening to this, I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who has friends with different political leanings and that we can get along despite our differences. These are short and easy to listen to. They don’t go deep, so if you’re looking for deep digging, you’re not going to find it here. So, get out of your echo chamber and listen. You might learn how to be human again.

Doesn’t help

The woman leading the podcast seems to simply want to promote her book. The conversations are between two privileged people who simply agree to just not talk to the other about politics. There is no real solution. The people literally just agree that they “see where the other is coming from” and stop taking to each other. That is not realistic for people who have to be political to preserve their lifestyle or even maintain their existence in the world. Also, Brittany in one of the episodes said she doesn’t talk about politics cause it’s just not her. How privileged, you can choose to ignore political action that is harming many people in our country. And Emily worrying about people thinking poorly or her and her husband- so privileged. Over it.
