    Dressed for the occasion

A little silly, but AP wondered if there was a "uniform" for voice artists. We all got on the bandwagon and well... If you know and love the show, you'll know where this is going...
A big shout out to our sponsors, Austrian Audio and Tri Booth. Both these companies are providers of QUALITY Audio Gear (we wouldn't partner with them unless they were), so please, if you're in the market for some new kit, do us a favour and check out their products, and be sure to tell em "Robbo, George, Robert and AP sent you"...
As a part of their generous support of our show, Tri Booth is offering $200 off a brand new booth when you use the code PAP200. So get onto their website now and secure your new booth...
    https://tribooth.com/
And if you're in the market for a new Mic or killer pair of headphones, check out Austrian Audio. They've got a great range of top-shelf gear..

We have launched a Patreon page in the hopes of being able to pay someone to help us get the show to more people and in turn help them with the same info we're sharing with you. If you aren't familiar with Patreon, it’s an easy way for those interested in our show to get exclusive content and updates before anyone else, along with a whole bunch of other "perks" just by contributing as little as $1 per month. Dust and Humidity Control in your booth

Dust and Humidity Control in your booth

In a studio situation, about 50% relative humidity is considered ideal for gear and instruments and comfortable for humans. 40% relative humidity is ideal for storing magnetic tapes. But how do you maintain that in a small home studio?
And what about dust? It's the nemesis of ALL gear, computers, Pre's, you name it. So what can you do about that, whilst maintaining a space that's as quiet as possible?
This week, the team take a stab at answering these questions, and, as usual, a little bit more!!
A big shout out to our sponsors, Austrian Audio and Tri Booth. Austrian Audio - In Da House

Austrian Audio - In Da House

Following the closure of the AKG offices in Vienna, a bunch of Ex-Employees set out to create something new, challenging, and respectful to their heritage, and Austrian Audio was born.
They may be relatively new, but the skill, knowledge, and tradition live on at Austrian Audio, backed by over 350 years of cumulative engineering experience. The product is quite simply stunning, and this week we unbox a few of their products to take a closer look (and listen)...
P.S. They're also the newest sponsors of our show..
A big shout out to our other sponsors, Tri Booth. As a part of their generous support of our show, they're offering $200 off a brand new booth when you use the code PAP200. So get onto their website now and secure your new booth...

The next BIG thing in Audio Processing

The next BIG thing in Audio Processing

Graphics cards have unrivalled computing power, networkability and scalability that has, until now, been a pipe dream for audio applications. However, a groundbreaking new company in the Audio Processing lane has managed to harness its power, and accelerate audio manipulation for audio producers, voice over artists and music producers alike, without the need for expensive, walled-garden DSP hardware.
Jonathon Rowden joins us from the hub of this new business and gives us the lowdown..

Getting the best out of your room without the price tag

Getting the best out of your room without the price tag

Getting the best out of your room should be your priority no matter where you land on the Voice Over Tree. However the price of professional help can be prohibitive, so what can you do for just a few bucks that will drastically change up the quality of the recordings you're delivering?
Here's the picture of AP's "outer booth" we talk about!

    Listener Question - Michael Lantrip

We got a question from a listener that was so 'left field' we felt challenged to answer it!

Funky MonGoose ,

Indispensable Resource for the VO Pro

This podcast is an essential resource for the working professional voice actor. In today’s world of home audio recording studios (Home Studios) that need to be clean sounding and deliver professional quality recordings to some of the most demanding clients, this podcast provides you with specific information and actionable data that will either keep you at the top of your game, or get you there if that’s what you need. And even the episodes that don’t specifically appear to be what I am researching that day (or THINK I need), I always, and let me reinforce that, ALWAYS learn something new that can help me with my craft. Of the numerous podcasts that help me run my full-time VO business, this is at the top of the list of my three “must listen” resources. Oh, and the format and presentation of this podcast makes you feel like you’re “in the club“. It’s brilliant. It makes me happy when I see a new episode is available.

One of my favorites

When these guys get together, you get to hear a fun and realistic discussion of all parts of the VO industry. I always learn something and have a great time listening. The global viewpoint is unique and excellent. Also, it’s nice to listen to a podcast without a sales agenda!
