Discovery 5x10 - "Life, Itself" Review
Black alert, maman! Discovery discovers no more. Time to wrap it all up, maman. What's the deal with the Progenitor's tech? Who is Kovich really? How can it sync up with Craft crap? There's a lot to settle, maman.

Discovery 5x09 - "Lagrange Point" Review
It's time for another episode of Mighty Morphin' Jello Rangers, maman. Everybody wants to be the Green Ranger, too. Just like the '90s.

Discovery 5x08 - "Labyrinths" Review
A sprawling library maze and a guide who looks like Book. Not a terrible test, maman. But they need to call an electrician, cause the lights keep going out. Can't read in the dark, maman. Maybe we wouldn't have to if we just knew ourselves. But some don't like therapy, maman...

Discovery 5x07 - "Erigah" Review
This one's a pretty good one, maman. Not much to dook on here! Maybe the best episode of the season so far! Not lookin' good for L'ak, maman. Good bluffs, good politics, scary war loomin'... Whisper sweet assurances into my ear, Michael. I'm scared. Wait, did Reno know Pelia?

Discovery 5x06 - "Whistlespeak" Review
On some planets they whistlespeak, maman. Then they got mortar and pestles and stop grinding avocado long enough to do the sound cure, but whistlespeakin and sound curin don't matter, maman. Not sure what does. But they sure do got a lotta water for drought folk, maman.

Discovery 5x05 - "Mirrors" Review
The Mirrorverse Enterprise is hidin' in some kinda extradimensional something, maman. We're looking with glassy eyes at Spock's console and gettin' closer to Book again. Also we know Moll and L'ak's deal now. So they ain't so bad, maman. We can forgive 'em by the end, probably.

I have found my people
So my favorite Trek above all is Deep Space Nine. And Dave and I bonded on Twitter thru our shared love and told me about his show. He and Matt know their Trek!! I have so many gaps and stuff I remember from all the Star Trek I’ve watched over the years and can’t always pull a factual memory on command but these two dudes can. I love the chemistry between the two and the laughter, really shows that they love what their doing and I’m here for it.
I still think we should have seen a Sisko show well before Picard buuuuut that’s an argument for another day. 😉
The next generation
These guys do a great job discussing the show. It really feels like your hanging out with a couple of close friends having a good time talking about a show that they obviously love and share a deep history with. There are other shows that are good at going into the technical minutiae, some that delve in to the philosophy of the show, others that go into the technical aspect of creating the show. All of them serve a purpose, but this particular show really makes you feel like you’re having a beer and gushing over all the cool and weird moments in the episode.
Wonderful!
These guys know their Star Trek, and the giggles just make it 😁
