No Cheat Codes & Trail Cam Strategy

On this episode of the Nine Finger Chronicles, Dan is once again solo venting his ideas and frustrations to his listeners. The first part of this episode is dedicated his disinterest in "Hunting Masterclass" themed content. Dan feels there is no shortcuts to becoming a better deer hunter, specifically bowhunting. Time in the woods is the best and most effective method of learning. Then, Dan breaks down a very quick look in to his summer and fall trail camera strategy that includes summer inventory, terrain features, and knowing your local doe group.

    Spring & Summer Scouting

    Spring & Summer Scouting

If you live in the midwest or the south and haven't done any scouting this year, I hate to say it, but you missed out on the perfect time of the year to scout. With that said scouting now is still better than no scouting at all. On this episode of the Nine Finger Chronicles, Dan gives his opinions about what we should all be doing right now to find better hunting locations for the fall. Dan talks about when trail cameras should go up, locating terrain features through e-scouting vs. boots on the ground, and knowing that just because deer are in a specific area right now, doesn't mean that they will be there come hunting season. This is a short, yet educational episode that might just help you get ready for the upcoming deer hunting season. Enjoy and share!

The Direction of Deer Hunting in North America

Fantastic discussion with Aaron on this subject. These are the exact discussions we as hunters need to be having in order to help protect the legacy of hunting. Keep asking the hard questions, Dan! Love it

The last podcast

When referring to the question about the 1,000 acre property and surveilling the deer and feeding them all year long. To me it sounds more like farming the deer and than selectively harvesting the animal you want just like they would do on a cattle farm.
