A podcast series discussing the everyday struggles of Muslims with same-sex attractions (SSA) who want to live a life true to Allah and Islam. I am Waheed Jensen, and I have SSA. In today’s world, it seems the overwhelming narrative out there is “love is love” and “embrace your sexual identity”. There are many of us who find that to be incompatible with the life we want to live, which is a God-conscious life in line with the teachings of Islam. This podcast series is a safe space for Muslims who struggle with SSA, as well as parents, family members, friends, imams, chaplains, community leaders, and the community at large.

Highly recommend for anyone

This podcast is an excellent resource not only for Muslims who experience same-sex attraction or gender dysphria, but for anyone who wants to understand Islamic perspectives on contemporary LGBT issues. Br. Waheed does an outstanding job of employing his knowledge (he is a physician and medical researcher) and personal experience to produce well-researched episodes on an impressive range of topics. I believe it's important for Muslims to educate ourselves about these issues in order to appropriately respond to the challenges we will all inevitably face in our own lives, those of loved ones, and in our broader communities, and this podcast is an accessible means to do just that. I'm glad to see so many great experts join as guests on the podcast as well and hope there will be more support from the Muslim community and collaboraiton with interfaith partners in the future insha'Allah. May Allah (swt) reward Br. Waheed and all contributors for this remarkable effort!
