On The Swim Science Podcast join hosts Robin and Josh Surgeoner who are elite athletes and coaches, as they discuss all aspects of swimming from stroke technique, coaching, and performance advice to the science which underpins success both in and out of the pool.
Often the boys will be joined by a guest from the world of swimming, sometimes World Class Coaches or athletes, sometimes sports science practitioners, and sometimes chatting with upcoming swimmers, aiming to make it to the next level.

Today we talk with 3x Olympian, Commonwealth Champion and Record Holder in the 200 m Backstroke Adam Ruckwood. Adam is now the Head Coach for the City of Coventry and has coached at 2 European Championships, and at the Junior World and European Championships producing a number of medalists.
We talk about Adam's coaching philosophy, how he feels backstroke has changed and developed since he swam, and what key elements he looks for in a successful a Backstroker. -
