પુત્ર કામનાથી વ્યાસજી વ્યાકુળ થયા છે.અને એ સમયે તેમણે શિવા અને શિવની આરાધના કરી. એમના તપથી પ્રસન્ન થઈ શિવજીએ એમને પુત્ર પ્રાપ્તિનું વરદાન આપ્યુ. ત્યારબાદ વ્યાસજી પોતે પોતાના આશ્રમમાં આવે છે અને ત્યાં એક અપ્સરાને જોવે છે. પણ અપ્સરાને જોઇને તેમના મનમાં એવો ભાવ થાય છે કે આના દ્વારા મને ગૃહસ્થાશ્રમની પ્રાપ્તિ થશે તો બીજા શું કેહ્શે.
