Mark is a resource

The first episode is, well— odd

To be completely honest, I only listened to the first episode, but the host and their guest seemed to be more interested in talking about their past than their future. The slamming of DIY shows was in there, but isn’t that where they got their start? The guest was constantly discussing Restoration Hardware and (comparing) clothing stores of the same ilk…honestly, sometimes I prefer a cheaper option (often shopping for seasonal clothing options at Zara and donating it the next season), because I don’t want to keep my design forever like my parent did in the 70s. Also to a lot of people, those brands are high end…not everyone can save a Jim Backus house with the LA Conservancy. I thought it was very odd— a bit snobbish and judgmental. Episode 2 is not in my future.
