    Remembering My Friend Greta Grunberg

On this Yom HaShoah, the Day of Remembrance, we recall the six million who died at the hands of the Nazis. Elizabeth and Greta lived in the same building, had breakfast together nearly every day and lit Shabbat candles, even after it was made illegal by the Nazis. Some 82 years after Greta was deported from Germany, Elizabeth Umlandt, now 88 years old, remembers her friend and st...

My favorite Jewish podcast

I love listening to this podcast! It’s so accessible and smart in a fun way. The people Rabbi Pont interview are well selected and each topic is thoughtful and relevant.

You don’t need any prior knowledge before tuning in. I just finished episode 13 about Hanukkah. I loved listening to the teens discuss their experiences. I am a convert so I experience a strange nostalgia this time of year and I love hearing about Hanukkah experiences and memories of those who were born into their faith.

The Yom Kippur episode is also a favorite of mine. I would definitely recommend this podcast if you’re looking for a fun, friendly, easy listen.
