Our Tree Tales this month are of the Pine tree and Christmas Trees:
“In Germany the Christmas-tree is not a luxury for well-to-do people as in England, but a necessity, the very centre of the festival…For one thing, perhaps, in a land of forests the tree seems more in place; it is a kind of sacrament linking mankind to the mysteries of the woodland…at night it is a true thing of wonder, shining with countless lights and glittering ornaments, with fruit of gold and shimmering festoons of silver…The Germans have quite a religious feeling for their Weihnachtsbaum, coming down, one may fancy, from some dim ancestral worship of the trees of the wood.”
Christmas in Ritual and Tradition, Christian and Pagan by Clement A. Miles in 1912

Amazing storyteller, amazing witchy podcast!!
I love everything Sarah Robinson puts out and this is no exception. I was introduced to her through her book, Yoga for Witches, and through her guided meditations on Insight Timer. I am loving this new creative outlet she has for sharing her gifts, her gorgeous voice and beautiful storytelling abilities. You won’t be disappointed, especially if you are into all things feminine, witchy, goddess oriented, and nature-based/seasonal. 🙏🏼🙌🏽😍
The Pendle Witches
What a wonderful telling of this story. I loved how the true story was intertwined with the meaning of the Rowan tree and then the tale at the end. I can’t wait to hear more of this podcast.
Good but could be better.
The story presented is spellbinding and well researched, however the sound quality is very metallic, tinny, sounding and is difficult to listen to. The quality does Sarah’s usually warm, smooth, melodic, voice no justice.
