Worth your time.
I can not recommend these lectures enough. Despite its old date (these lectures were recorded in 1967 I think), the quality of the recording is surprisingly good. In these lectures, E.J. Young addresses many of the liberal higher critics and tears apart their theories regarding the authorship of many of the books of the Bible and other issues. But more than that, Young presents the gospel with clarity. It is obvious that Young never separated scholarship and rigorous exegesis with a deep reverence and love for God and His gospel. Young was a man whose whole being was captivated by the gospel and these lectures show that.
Worth every minute of your time. A big thank you to Westminster Theological Seminary for putting these lectures out.
Excellent, Scholarly, Instructive, Apologetic, Insightful!
Worth your time to listen... the late Dr. E. J. Young gave these excellent lectures on the inspiration and authority of Scripture. In them he also responded to the JDEP hypothesis for the books of the Pentateuch, in particular the book of Genesis, carefully answering the still-very-popular "liberal" scholarship on that subject, as well as other subjects, such as evolutionary theory, the authorship of Isaiah and Daniel, etc., with sound exegesis and demonstrations. His lectures are simply unequaled in quality, and in knowledge of the Biblical languages.
