Neurotransmitters of Doom ("Man of the People")
It’s yet another episode where a creepy guy preys on Troi. But as we discuss, TNG’s “Man of the People” is also a surprisingly good jumping off point for discussion of more feminist themes, like emotional labor and aging women’s sexuality.

Customer Reviews
Absolutely awesome.
In depth and fun to listen to! It’s great to have more of the much needed women’s (and more!) trek perspective. 😀😀😀🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻
Blocked on Instagram
They blocked me Instagram when I questioned them about political merchandise that were promotions. They are prejudice.
I want to like this, but I don't.
I am both _very_ into Star Trek (not sci-fi, but specifically Star Trek) and female, and it's been impossible to connect IRL with any other women trekkies, so when this male-dominated segment of my life suddenly had an opportunity to hear from other women, I was very excited. The problem? It's not just women talking about Star Trek and philosophy from their perspective-it's women talking about identity politics. It's "feminism". It's women who define "feminism" as a catchall movement for everyone who isn't a straight white male. And YES, Star Trek is about the human condition, and the philosophy behind the stories that create allegorical narratives should be discussed. But whyTF can't we just have a podcast with women talking and being listed to simply because they like Star Trek? I don't want to hear "Women Who Identify As Social Justice Warriors That Happen To Find Star Trek A Vehicle To Promote Their Agenda", I want to hear "a thoughtful podcast about Star Trek's deeper layers of social philosophy hosted by women". If you don't understand the difference, then that's a dead giveaway that I am not going to G.A.S. about your podcast content.
