A community for the Jew and Gentile
There is a misunderstanding amongst those unfamiliar with Remnant of Israel regarding where it stands and what the mission of those attending is. To the Christian who visits, you may be uncomfortable with how the service is held and in the way the Hebrew language which is likely unfamiliar to you is recited and sung throughout the service. It may catch you off guard when you visit and someone greets you with a happy “Shabbat Shalom!”, you may be confused as to how to respond (hint: repeat “Shabbat Shalom” right back). You may wonder if these are Christians or Jews? For many attending the answer is both.
To the Jew who visits, you will likely feel very comfortable with the familiar liturgy, the traditional Kippah and Tallit wearing amongst many men (though it’s not required or expected), and you’ll see a community who reveres and respects following biblically appointed times and dietary laws. There will be a difference though, this community has discovered and embraced their Jewish Mashiach who’s identity is clearly and indistinguishably found in Yeshua as revealed to us all in Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. You will find joy, life and happiness amongst a community of people who wish to live in a way that is of a pleasing aroma to The Lord most High.
This may sound very strange to some Christians who may consider visiting, but if that is you please consider what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:20. I hope if you are reading this you take an opportunity to visit Remnant of Israel here in Wichita Kansas every Saturday morning at 10am for Shabbat service or come early at 9am for Torah study! May Adonai Bless you and keep you!
