Be water, my friends

Holding open nonjudgmental space for “the other” is one of the most creative gifts/acts we can give/do (in my opinion). Thank you Konrad for offering that up the world. It has enriched and enlivened my life.

Open-minded and intellectual explorers, this one’s for you!

I have been a friend of the show for a while now, and I love the podcast so much! I share it with everyone who likes to explore ideas!

Konrad and Matt are both engaging and talk about rather complex issues with a refreshing lightheartedness. They invite guests to share their views and stories, listening well to the guest and asking insightful follow-up questions. It is always exciting when I hear Konrad ask a question I am thinking and seeing how the guest answers it!

The whole atmosphere of the show is kind and curious, so it really makes room for guests to share honestly without being on the defensive, which helps us listeners encounter a lot of nuance. Rather than trying to find holes in a person’s worldview and tear it apart and “win”, they are inviting all of us to explore intellectually! Why do we think the things we do? And where are we missing in our own understanding? Where might others help us see what we don’t see by ourselves? Where are they wrong/right? And where might we be wrong/right?

Also, Konrad is a master at repeating back what he’s hearing from someone, and I’ve learned a lot personally just from listening to that in action.
