The iFanboy.com Comic Book Podcast is a weekly talk show all about the best new current comic book releases. Lifelong friends, Conor Kilpatrick and Josh Flanagan talk about what they loved and (sometimes) hated in the current weekly books, from publishers like Marvel, DC, Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, BOOM! Studios, IDW, Aftershock, Valiant, and more. The aim is to have a fun time, some laughs, but to also really understand what makes comic books work and what doesn’t, and trying to understand the craft of this great, often under appreciated art form. Sometimes they agree, and sometimes… they don’t. With decades of experience talking about comics, interacting with comic book professionals, this is all about the love of an art form. If the names Brian Michael Bendis, Amanda Conner, Geoff Johns, Gene Luen Yang, Donny Cates, Jason Aaron, Kelly Thompson, David Marquez, Kelly Sue de Connick, Kieron Gillen, Charles Soule, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Scott Snyder, Tom King, Mitch Gerads, Esad Ribic, Rick Remender, Nick Spencer, John Ridley, Skottie Young, Chip Zdarsky, Jöelle Jones, David F. Walker, Grant Morrison, and Darwyn Cooke get you excited, then this is the place for you. This podcast is so good, you don’t even need to read comic books or graphic novels to enjoy it, but it’s a lot better if you do.

    Talksplode #112 - James Robinson

    Talksplode #112 - James Robinson

Thanks to iFanboy Patrons, it's Talksplode time.
Here's someone we haven't talked to in a very long time, and never like this. James Robinson is a veteran comic book writer, having created hallmark series like Starman and The Golden Age, with runs on Justice League, Fantastic Four, Superman, Scarlet Witch, and pretty much any other superhero that matters, as well as a good bit of creator owned work, including an upcoming line from Dark Horse, including Patra with Scott Kolins, and Welcome to Maynard, with J. Bone.
Josh Flanagan talks with James about his beginnings in comic books, his approach to the craft, his relationship with Archie Goodwin, and plenty more.

Stay up to date on this week’s mainstream comics

THE podcast to listen to for weekly view of the new comics you need to know about. The hosts’ opinions are perfect… not too ‘fanboyish’ and not too cynical or jaded. Their love for the medium really comes thru, but they’re also not afraid to be critical when they think it’s needed.

Hulkenberg Smash! ,

A timeless machine

I've been listening to these guys since almost day one. And through all that time they have been consistently the best comic book show anywhere.

After 931 shows PLUS all the hundreds of "splode" specials, they shouldn't stop now. If they did, It would be like not having green grass. Sure you may not need it, but life would be much less beautiful.

S_hop24 ,

They Can’t Stop

The hosts can’t stop reviewing comics and I can’t stop listening. The show is a great place to stop by and listen to the week’s comics discussed among friends. Don’t want to hear about this week’s comics? How about a week from a decade ago or a comic book movie? They literally can’t stop and it might be a problem, but I enjoy the heck out of it.
