One of my favorite podcasts!

Jason and Ashley know how to make podcasting fun and informative! With the amount of time and effort put in to these episodes, you can only get greatness. Keep up the great work, and I’ll keep listening! I also joined the Patreon last month, and I question why I haven’t done so sooner!

Awesome!!!!!!

This is my favorite podcast I have learned a lot from you. My first episode was on black lightning and I learned so much about the character. I understand if you don’t want to do this I understand but I would like to see some updates on old lessons for example your green arrow episode because my favorite run of his is the rebirth run which wasn’t out at the time. Also could you do an episode on static, outsiders, best outsiders team, best suicide squad, Emiko Queen, and steel. I know it’s a lot and I understand you won’t get to all of these. You are the best hosts! iiiiim a pilot!

Great Concept!! But.....

For starters I am a huge fan of this podcast. I discovered Jason on some of the collider shows and instantly loved his insight on the comic genre. I even went back into their library and have listened to about 75-80% of the lessons.

So with that said the big problem I started to notice was ASHLEY. I completely understand the argument for equality and diversity, but every topic doesn’t need a snarky feminist, racial, trans rights remark. It’s very obvious she’s in her little “California SJW Bubble”. Maybe just know your audience a little better. We listen for geek history not social history.

Secondly almost every episode where Ashley is the professor I hear Jason say (Wow we already jumped 10-20 years). So that let’s me know she isn’t doing the research justice or is only researching topics that interest her. While also frequently calling characters or story arcs STUPID. That is a huge disservice to the listeners and her co-host. That is why Jason has to constantly interrupt and give little nuggets of info. Which is annoying but I’d rather have the correct info. Unfortunately I’ve found myself skipping the episode if Ashley is leading the lesson. Bc if I’m going to a “cocktail party” I don’t want to look like a goober.

Hope these issues get fixed and they iron out the wrinkles bc I believe this podcast has a lot of potential.
