I’m Michael Rosenbaum, I’ve spent the better part of the last two decades in and out of film and television - mostly known for playing the bald dude on the show Smallville. I’m the guy that you probably don’t know by name, but when you see my face you might say “oh, that guy from that thing.” I’ve befriended some of the most talented people in the business, but it wasn’t until I started inviting them into my home that I realized, I didn’t really know these people. What started as me having some fun, quickly evolved into something I’ve fallen in love with. What I’ve discovered is that all these people aren’t that different from you and me. They have the same insecurities and flaws that we all deal with every day. In a dark, yet enlightening way... I find a lot of comfort in that. I invite you all to join me while I get inside each of these fascinating people.

Enjoyable. Deep. Thoughtful.

I like Michael Rosenbaum, and it’s clear he invests time and research into most of his guests (some are old friends so I don’t think he researches as much for those as he doesn’t need to). He’s gotten great at asking leading questions that turn into thoughtful conversations and he is good at allowing others to open up because he comes across very genuinely.

There are a few guests I haven’t preferred, like the Scientologists who talk about how innocent their cult is, when it’s been proven otherwise, and I don’t like seeing them get a platform to pander to more people. But I’d say 99% of the guests are great and I even listen to ones I’m unfamiliar with because Michael is able to make it interesting.

If you’re going to listen to a show with a celebrity, interviewing other celebrities, I feel like this is the one to subscribe to as he typically brings out more than the average interviewer.

I found this podcast a few years ago. I thought I’d give it a try because I really loved Rosenbaum’s complex performance as Lex Luthor on “Smallville.”
I enjoyed it from my first listen, and have listened every week since then.
I am so impressed and deeply touched by Rosenbaum’s growth as a podcast host. It has been amazing, truly, to listen and feel him learn and improve as a host.
He is honest and down to earth, vulnerable and funny. He leads with his heart, which feels radical to me, because there seem to be so many super-snarky, mean/negative (“comedy??”) podcasts out there. He really cares and it comes through.
He has grown from good to sometimes great, and has a real gift for this.
It has a great mix of the Hollywood stuff and deeper stuff.
This is the only podcast I listen to no matter who is being interviewed, and I am almost always surprised at what I receive from the experience.
