Perry, a graduate of NC A & T SU, discusses telling your nonprofit's story, how to get board members engaged in advocacy by story telling and methods of communicating your nonprofit mission.
ABOUT JASON: Jason is the Founder of Communication with You in Mind LLC, a communications consulting company. Jason uses communication as the springboard to equip youth, career professionals, organizations and teams with the skills and awareness needed to achieve optimal outcomes. Before devoting his work to Communication with You in Mind full time, he served as a non-profit Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Family Support Coordinator for ten interconnected Out of School Time programs and served as the Director of Operations and Strategic Partnerships for an education advocacy non-profit.
Jason holds a B.A, Journalism and Mass Communication, an M.S, Leadership and Organizational Change and is a Certified DISC & Values Communications Coach.
In addition to his career as a communications consultant, Jason volunteers his subject expertise to benefit organizations dedicated to advancing and stabilizing the lives of youth, collegiate students, and families. He currently serves as a Council for Children’s Rights Young Ambassadors Group Board Member, NCA&T Alumni Council President, and a Community Building Initiative (CBI) Graduate Advocate. Jason also enjoys binge watching anything in the historical fiction genre.
