The Christmas story holds a powerful place in Western culture. From a metaphysical perspective it is profound exploration of how faith and a “virginal mindset” can transcend every problem and give birth to opportunities, creations, new ways of being, and a whole new world that seem utterly impossible in human-only thinking. In this talk we’ll consider the examples of Mary the mother of Jesus and Mary Magdalene, one of the most maligned (and my personal favorite) characters in the Bible to see how a “virginal mindset” can create good in our lives and in the world. This will not be your usual Mary and Jesus and virgin birth take on the story!
