    Minute 110: ED

Ed Okin wakes up, alone in the hotel room of the Ramada Inn. His hands are still folded behind his head. He stands up, and peels back the window curtain. It’s daytime. Cars drive past the front of the Ramada, and airplanes fly overhead. Ed looks in the bathroom. The bloody washcloths and towels are still scattered on the countertops. He returns to the bed and sits down. Looking around the room, he notices a thick envelope tucked into his jacket pocket that’s laying at the end of his bed. He opens the envelope. Inside are two stacks of $100 bills, totally $20,000. Ed puts on his jacket and shoes, and walks into the Ramada hallway. He spots a cleaning woman with her housekeeping cart.

    Minute 109: Diana?

Ed lays on top of the bed in the Ramada, his head propped up by pillows and his arms folded behind his head. Diana walks from the shower, dressed in a towel. She puts a comb down on the nearby desk, and smiles at Ed. Diana walks over to the bed to kiss Ed, only to hear him gently snoring. She kisses him on his eyebrow. Sitting back on the bed, Diana looks at Ed and smiles. Ed continues to sleep, only to be awakened by the sound of jet noise. Ed is alone in the hotel room. “Diana?” he asks.
