Simply The Bestia?
Overrated. Overhyped. Sometimes places can't possibly be as good as people make them out to be. In a slight departure from the format, Kathleen and Kadi hear about a 5 star restaurant in Los Angeles called Bestia and wonder if it can really be as great as everyone says it is. Why does this place get 5 star reviews when so many of the reviewers have legitimate complaints? Kadi, Kathleen and producer Chad Krueger weigh in on other things they personally consider to be overrated or overhyped. Then K&K go to Bestia to find out "Is It Really That Good?"

Michael Connelly, Why Would You Do Us Like This?
After reading Michael Connelly's The Late Show, Kathleen gets the idea to check out a restaurant he name drops in Venice Beach called The Candle Cafe. Luckily for us, it gets terrible Yelp reviews so we have two reasons to go. After a morning run, Kadi and Kathleen take in all Venice Beach has to offer on a sunny Saturday morning and sit down for brunch. Could the Candle Cafe be as bad as its Yelp reviews?

Drop it Drop it Low Girl
Kathllen and Kadi are cross-training for a half marathon. They check out women's gyms on Yelp and find one with several disturbing one star reviews, so of course they go. According to Yelp they will get robbed, yelled at, sucked into a contract and probably contract a disease. Could this Bollywood Fusion dance class really be that bad?

Let's Go to a Terrible Bike Shop
In the Premier Episode, Kathleen and Kadi need to get a bike fixed, but the Yelp reviews of the place they need to go are terrible. They read and analyze some of the worst reviews and ask themselves if it could possibly be that bad. We then join Kadi and Kathleen on a trip to Alhambra Cycle Sports, recording the entire experience and breaking it down back in the studio.

Reminds me of Mystery Show
Even though they aren't really all that similar, this podcast is fill the Mystery Show-shaped hole in my heart. There is something about the investigative approach to everyday human experiences and stories that is very uplifting and fascinating to me. I really like the rapport between the hosts. Keep being awesome!
Insightful, Whitty, Fun
Kathleen and Kadi do a wonderful service to all mankind where they examine yelp reviews, the reviewers, but still try to keep and open mind. Then they have an experience at the business in question and discuss, review it themselves. It’s a brilliant execution. The banter is natural and never forced. The episodes are easy to listen to and go by quickly. I want more! Keep it up!
PS. Good job producing, Chad.
This Podcast is Really Pretty Good!
For some reason I really like these two ladies - they go around to different businesses that have terrible Yelp reviews and find out: "IS IT REALLY THAT BAD???" They're funny and just the right amount of snarky. I like that they are rooting for the places to be good, but also are committed to telling it like it is! They also read Yelp reviews out loud and comment on the reviewers themselves, which is funny. Two episodes in, I am hooked - looking forward to where they will go next. Get on board!
