As well as warning the world about COVID19, the WHO has also warned governments around the globe about the ongoing mental health pandemic. Psychiatric institutes, already under huge pressure have told to give more as rates of anxiety, depression and psychosis have risen during the pandemic.
This episode involves an interview with two guests who will share their insights into the subject matter.
- My first guest is Dr Aasim, a doctor in mental health who will share a doctors perspective on mental health and dealing with it in light of the crisis.
- My second guest is soon-to-be-doctor Syed, a medical student and an individual who unfortunately faced an acute psychiatric episode during lockdown. He will share his own experiences as well as how Islam looks at mental health and aims to treat it.
