77: It’s Okay To Not Be Okay: What You Need To Know About Depression with Jo Dodd The Dr. Kinney Show

    • Alternative Health

Have you ever struggled with depression?
Depression is prevalent among women. We get so caught up in our careers and family that we forget to take care of ourselves and end up with nothing left to give.

In this episode of The Dr. Kinney Show, I sat down with Jo Dodd to talk about depression among women and how to focus on your own needs and health to finally start to feel better.

Jo Dodd is a wife, mother, coach, and author of Children’s books who helps overwhelmed & depressed Mamas find their own sunshine & realize they’re not alone.

Self-care can look different for everyone. What you needed to do to take care of yourself in your twenties may be different from what you need in your forties. As women, we are constantly taking care of other people's needs, but it is so important for you to take care of your own needs first. Whether that means you start seeing a therapist, naturopathic doctor, acupuncturist, or whoever it may be, you must make it a priority.

It’s okay to say that you’re not okay. We have to end the stigma around depression.

Tune in to learn about natural things you can do when you are feeling depressed and more about why it’s okay to take medication if it means you will feel better.
