Jaemor Farms - Episode 3 Peach and Prosperity

    • Society & Culture

Since 1912, the Echols family has grown peaches in the north Georgia countryside. Today, they grow and sell homegrown strawberries, blackberries, muscadines, scuppernongs, Concord grapes, watermelon, squash, tomatoes, zucchini, pumpkins and more during harvest season. They are also known for their fall corn maze, homemade pies and soft-serve. We met with one of the third generation owners, Drew Echols, and his sister, Carli Echols, to learn about their story and how they are being resilient during these uncertain times

Listening Notes: This is a special pop up series in response to the current economic and health situation with COVID-19. Rather than our typical narrative and edited style, it is a record to release episode. Since we recorded from our “home studio” and the farm, the audio quality isn’t as pitch perfect as usual. The wind does go away eventually. Visit our Facebook page and Instagram to follow behind the scenes with these stories.  Learn more about Jaemor Farms on their website and Instagram.
