As a redshirt freshman--Jeffrey Fitzgerald absolutely dominated for the Virginia Cavaliers--73 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, 2 INT, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 touchdowns. He was a freshman All-American and finished his Virginia career as one of the most talented defensive lineman in Virginia football history. He was incredibly naturally gifted and just an amazing athlete. He went on to play at Kansas State and had a very, very good pro career.
