In today's episode, I chat with my running mate Marley Wagner. He has recently moved to Melbourne to study for a Bachelor of Design.
He is also a fantastic runner with personal bests of 1:58 in the 800 metres, 3:59 in the 1500 metres and 15:40 in the 5000 metres.
We also learn about growing up in Cairns in far North Queensland, jet-skiing near the Great Barrier Reef and plenty more! Both of us are racing the 2023 National XCR Champs in Stromlo, Canberra so tune in.

Ep #84: Vi Truong - WBYLmentalking
Second one of 2023! I've known Vi for three years as we both participated in the Western Bulldogs Youth Leadership Program in 2020. Vi and I reminisce about the program and raising $1000 for Batyr: a youth mental health organisation. Funnily enough, we're both studying the same Journalism degree at RMIT! Vi shares her amazing internship opportunity with the 'Ministry of Sport' through SportsGrad. She is also a massive Doggies Diehard fan. We compare the Bulldogs' 2016 Premiership triumph in comparison with the 2021 grand final loss. Absolute pleasure chatting to Vi and we'll make sure we play a role in the 2032 Brisbane Olympics working in Sports media.

Welcome back friends to the first episode of 2023. In today's episode I reflect briefly on a grueling 2022 with the completion of my high-schooling journey. I set some pretty lofty standards for running, which may involve moving up distancess.. Been mingling with Events and Tutoring as work currently, so walkthrough the funny stories of patrons getting a bit rowdy or angry.
My plans for Jez & Friends is to totally re-shape it with a variety of interviews with those who know me the best. Listen to find out who.... New podcast ideas and joining the Sports Desk too, this will most definitely crazy!!! To add on some crazy personal advice is to breathe! Ep #81: Paris Gadsden - Killer Kick!
In today's episode, I chat with Paris Gadsden who is an original member from the MUAC Development Training Squad. Paris' running journey has progressed very well in the past few years especially most recently in the 800m at Vic Milers #1... Paris is also a nurse at the RM Hospital often working long shifts and treating many patients in different sectors. Nursing is an incredibly selfless role and it is amazing to learnt he amazing roles and patients Paris has dealt with! Thrifting is a passion of Paris' too, South Melbourne, or Fitzroy? There's a few cool places to visit during your summer holidays. Nike Dunks and professional Nike Aeroswifts are some of my treasures, the second kindly gifted by Paris. Two things I learnt from this chat is to be happy and healthy, simplicity can lead to great successes in life.

Ep #80: Taine Lang - Shake For Kudos
EXAMS ARE OVER = Podcast return! Today, I chat with a great mate from running, Taine Lang. Taine shares his journey growing up in Bendigo and tranisitoning into tertiary studies at the University Melbourne. In this chat, we dive into topical discussions of our favourite running shoes, and what it's like working in a retail shoe store. Also we reflect on the incredible career of Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer who everyone admires both on and off the field. Taine was also a ball-kid at a Federer game! Overall, this chat epitomises the uniqueness of running and how it can lead to great friendships with high-quality athletes and moments of banter that is not shared anywhere else.
