The logic used in this podcast so often seems to go opposite to how it should in religion of commandments with these loopholes; they say "this is what I want to do, so let me find any piece of scripture that can be stretched to permit it". I'm by no means a perfect nor always great Jew, but I think it's better to apologize to G-d and ask forgiveness for shortcomings, not to find a loophole. That being said, I do like the educational elements to this show, or when relationships are examined without resorting to finding hard-to-believe loopholes.

A MUST for Jewish scholars

I love how this podcast tackles real issues from a feminist halachic stance. This is intellectually stimulating and highly engaging!

In my opinion, this fantastic podcast succeeds in being both seriously traditional and seriously radical in how these issues related to sex and sexuality are discussed (though obviously my sense of that is influenced by where I am in the community). Dr. Marcus and Rabbi Linzer and the moderator, Rebecca Honig Friedman are all amazingly modest yet also not afraid to show how smart they are. The Rabbi and Dr. model friendly but serious disagreement. The whole thing is enlightening, refreshing, and cracks open such important areas -- for women to be involved in the discussion of traditional attitudes towards sex; for people to really listen to each other and agree or disagree harmoniously; for people just to talk about this part of life that tends to make all of us (religious or not) squeamish but we know is so important. Thank you to those who make the podcast!
