The performances are equally captivating, with Justice Smith delivering a nuanced portrayal of Owen's growing obsession and Brigette Lundy-Paine captivating as the enigmatic Maddy, who introduces him to the show.
Beware, this film isn't for the faint of heart. Schoenbrun's masterful direction and unsettling visuals will leave you with a lingering sense of dread long after the credits roll.

In an attempt to boost ratings, he invites a purportedly possessed girl onto the show for a Halloween special.  Things take a terrifying turn when the girl unleashes a demonic entity during the live broadcast.
