Chris Merrill Sits in Hour 1 Cinco de Merrill: Cinco de Mayo celebrates the Mexican victory over the French @ the Battle of Puebla. 05-05-24

Cinco de Merrill: Cinco de Mayo celebrates the Mexican victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla, which took place on May 5, 1862. It is not observed as a national holiday in Mexico, but schools in Puebla, where the battle took place, are closed for the day. Mexico’s Independence Day is Sept. 16. High Speed Boondoggle: California has completed a significant portion of its high-speed rail project, the Fresno River Viaduct, after spending $11 billion and taking nine years. This section of the rail is meant to eventually connect San Francisco to Los Angeles but currently stands alone, leading to significant public scrutiny and criticism from high-profile figures. LA Law: The Law Makers, Law Breakers and times that there oughta be a law. People can't be detained for avoiding police, California court says.

Chris Merrill Sits in Hour 2 Protests: The union representing the 10 University of California police departments says... 05-05-24

Protests: The union representing the 10 University of California police departments says UC administrators, not the UCLA police chief, are to blame for UCLA’s response to on-campus protests last week. Protests Spread: As protests against Israel’s military offensive in Gaza continue to spread across college campuses throughout Southern California, local officials and residents are closely monitoring developments. Astro Turf: Recent days have shown that the protests aren’t merely bursts of student moral concern about Gaza. They’re often guided by professional leftist groups exploiting students to foment chaos and intimidate President Biden. The Politics: Although it's easy to connect these numbers to anger over the conflict in the Middle East, the Israel-Hamas conflict probably isn't the principal driver of Biden's loss in support among young people. Polls have found that young people care about other issues a great deal more than what's happening in the Middle East, so the issue that's roiling college campuses isn't necessarily representative of larger concerns.

This should be called the best of KFI

I used to spend a lot of time in the car on rush hour drives, but post-COVID not so much. I miss listening to Bill Handel and the rest. I love they’ve picked out the interesting segments and interviews across all of their shows and made them available in podcast format. Now I get the best of KFI on my own schedule and in snack sizes.

A Review of "KFI Featured Segments"

I had often found what I had believed to had been certain parts of what I had believed to had been certain recordings of this "KFI Featured Segments" to had been vulgar, unnecessary, negative, unprofessional, and detrimental (usually recordings accessed through hyperlinks with groups of text with parts such as some text of, "@WakeUpCall").

LASD

Alex Villanueva is the best Sheriff. Thank goodness there’s a voice of reason in LA County. And he’s right where he needs to be. The board of supervisors needs to let him do his job. I can’t believe the corruption that goes on in LA County. I’m tired of being robbed and being scared. Even in 1992 before the LA riots and when we had all the homicides and gangbangin it wasn’t this bad. The Mexican cartels have run CA’s prisons for decades. They send their kids to school in the USA. The Chinese helped them make more addicting drugs. The probability that the cartels with their money have invaded and bought off our politicians is undeniable. It would be nice to think that they only traffic drugs. They traffic children, adults, animals and extort money from everyone trying to come into this country illegally. They extort money from the avocado growers and lie to our inspectors.
They are operating only miles from where you live. The uptick in murder is proof. Bad habits come with them across the border.
The taco stand that sprung up on the side of the street down from your house has delicious food. It probably is funded by a food pimp that takes the profits and let’s the actual workers have a place to stay like an indentured servant. More people run from the police and do not stop if they get in an accident in the car. This is the tip of the iceberg. We need twice the amount of police officers than we have. Rule of law is eroding.
