Amos
The prophet Amos brought a message that was unpopular in his time, speaking of God's roaring charges against Israel's sin - reminding them that God will hold all accountable. Though Amos also foretells God's compassionate restoration plan for all of His people from Christ through the lineage of David.

The Good Citizen
Followers of Christ have an ultimate allegiance to King Jesus, yet are still called to honor our God-ordained government authorities. Our citizenship of God's kingdom should spur us toward being model citizens in our earthly kingdoms, as salt and light.
Josh Hershberger is an attorney, minister and speaker, he leads the Church Ambassador Network, an Indiana-specific ministry that builds relationships between Pastors and legislatures/elected officials.
He also helps lead the Good-Citizen Project, a national ministry that equips Christians to be gospel-centered citizens. Josh Hershberger is licensed to practice law in three states, the Supreme Court of the United States and a number of other federal courts. He serves as a teaching Pastor at his home church in southeast Indiana. -
Jonah
The book of Jonah explores the contrast between God's merciful character and Jonah's assumptions about what God is really like. While Jonah proves to be disobedient, unrepentant and unconcerned for the Ninevites, "they" themselves repent at Jonah's warning - exposing Jonah's vindictive nature against God's compassion. Jonah's experience prompts self-reflection: What am I really like? Do I share Jonah's skewed perspective, or will I embrace God's heart for all people?

Joel
The book of Joel issues a foreboding message of warning, describing a locust invasion as a harbinger of God's imminent judgment. Yet amidst the gloom, Joel offers the hope of restoration. Through the contrasting themes of impending destruction and the promise of God's restorative grace, Joel calls the people to repentance in light of the coming Day of the Lord.

Hosea
The book of Hosea powerfully illustrates God's relentless, "expensive" love for His spiritually adulterous people, exemplified in Hosea's own marriage to Gomer. Though spiritual adultery and sin provokes God's anger, His transformative love offers forgiveness and mercy to those who return to Him, foreshadowing the work of Jesus Christ to reconcile His people to Himself.

The Resurrection and the Life
We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave, conquering death once and for all. Jesus's miraculous raising of Lazarus in John 11 foreshadowed His own resurrection, providing hope that in Christ, we too will experience eternal life.
