    This episode digs deep into the file on Chad Tepper and his long road from homelessness to breaking into music and being discovered by Epitaph Records.  Chad’s positive energy is as infectious as his music, and the personal story behind it is inspiring.
    Joining our conversation is Ross Mahony of Audacy Media. Ross clues us in on how he was initially hooked by Chad’s personality and songwriting, which lead to him bringing Chad’s songs to radio listeners across the U.S. Edie Lundeen from Epitaph records talks about how Chad is truly more than just an artist on the roster.  He has become, as she puts it, “part of my extended family!” We’ll also give you a taste of Chad’s new single, “I Wanna Be Your High.”

    Episode 10: The Moss

    In this first episode of the second season, host, Dead Air Dave opens the file on The Moss as they roll out The Insomnia, their debut release on Hollywood Records. Frontman Tyke James gives us the inside story on how the band met and formed in Hawaii, self-produced their first two releases, then jumped to Salt Lake City (quite a move)!
    We also hear from Dixon, of WAQX in Syracuse, NY., who tells us how he was hooked on the band after the first listen. Dixon continues to praise the guitar-driven sound of The Moss as something Alt stations should be embracing everywhere. Amy and Andrew from 7S Management also join to discuss The Moss, and share stories from being on the road with the band. And you'll get a dose of the latest songs from the new EP.

We learn about band members meeting in the waves, gigging in a friend’s surf shop, how they’ve written and recorded songs to populate two EPs over the past couple of years, and are currently working on songs that could end up being on their first full length album.   
    We also hear from Dustin Carlson, APD/MD/Afternoon drive host at ALT AZ 93.3 in Phoenix. He tells us how he didn’t discover the band by receiving their music delivered to the radio station, but rather, he caught their performance at a music conference in Vegas!

Good stuff!

Very entertaining and informative “window” into the inner workings of how bands’ music gets played on radio stations. Every episode has great guests, and the host is engaging and informed. Glad I stumbled on this one!
