When I used to be good at lying
We all lie. Lie to ourselves mostly. Big and little lies. Out of fear; to please our parents, then our teachers, our partners or friends...; to avoid confrontation and to face how we truly feel inside. It started early on for me. I became good at lying.

I used to sell shoes at Cole Haan on Bloor Street in Toronto, a shoe store. I was a sales associate. A fancy term to say that I was a salesperson. I didn’t last long. Though I was great at my job. Somehow it felt like acting....

I just discovered this podcast and really enjoy Cecile’s storytelling. The subject matter for each episode is interesting and relatable. I especially like the story about her childhood dog. Very heartfelt. I can’t wait to hear the next episode!
