In today’s episode we talked with award-winning author and mentor Janice Thompson about the importance of being a firestarter to mentor and stir up the gifts within other people.
A firestarter is the initial person that goes out and says “I see this gift in you.” They essentially fan the flame, or stir up the gift by recognizing it in someone else and prompting them to do something with that gift.
Without a firestarter (and mentor) in my life, I would have never recognized my own leadership potential or had the courage to write a book or speak from the stage.
