True Religion (You shall have no other gods)

True Religion (You shall have no other gods)

Pastor Delicia kicked off our new sermon series - True Religion. God used Pastor Delicia to remind us that while we know as Christians our faith is based on a relationship with Jesus that we also have a discipline to the religious commandments He wrote out for us. We have to remember that the commandments are guidelines for how we love God back.

    REFLECTION QUESTIONS
    1. Does God have sole authority and priority in my life?

    2. Am I doing religious things to cross off a checklist so that God loves me? Or to honor God because I want to love Him back?

Is the Lord Here With Us or Not? (When you’re feeling tired and tormented)

Is the Lord Here With Us or Not? (When you’re feeling tired and tormented)

Have you ever been so frustrated that where you are is worse off than where you were when you started? And now you are questioning, "Where is God?" Join us as we dive into another week of G.R.I.T (Get Ready it's Tough)

Pastor Justin Hamilton goes through Exodus 17, Psalm 22, Matthew 27, and Isaiah 53 to show how not giving up and throwing in the towel can result in a breakthrough in our lives. He refers to God's instructions to Moses as He told Moses to strike the rock and water will gush out. In the same way that God provided water for the thirsty and tormented Israelites to drink from, God will provide us with the strength to carry on the mission that He has called us to do.

    Reflection Questions:

    1. What do I do when God is silent?

    2. Does my theology leave room for disappointment with God?

    3. Am I holding tightly to my testimony even when my present reality is daunting?
