Love Listening
I really enjoy listening to the podcast! I love hearing how different weddings in the UK are compared to the US. Although, I got married almost 32 years ago, I’m pretty sure not much has changed with our weddings here.
We don’t pay for bridesmaids dresses etc.
Gifts, they are expected. But you shouldn’t count on them. There is always someone that doesn’t give a gift. It’s an unspoken expectation, however you should give at least the amount of the cost of your dinner (a best guess) per person.
We don’t have a wedding breakfast or a day and evening party. Years ago, (60+) they did but today you either have a morning wedding or afternoon wedding.
You do pay for all the flowers as you do in the UK. Love flowers, my mom was a florist.
I’m sure there are other differences.
But do love listening 100%.
Can’t wait for Hannah’s wedding and hearing all about it from her perspective.
Keep up the great work ladies!
