Let's Learn About Witchcraft Oh Here We Go

    • Society & Culture

It’s spooky season, bitches and witches! 🧙🏼‍♀️✨

We are so excited to introduce you to Mia Magik, a self-proclaimed witch with her own “mini Hogwarts,” in our last episode before Halloween! And let us just say – buckle the fuck up. (Or, hop the f**k on your broom – whatever works!)

Everything we thought we knew about witches, manifesting, Halloween, and Magick in general before we went into this conversation was dwarfed by the mountain of information Mia laid on us.

We talk about some of our own personal experiences of dabbling into this realm, and we ask Mia for all the tea (which is technically a potion, btw) on historical witch trials, who can call themselves a witch, what spells look or sound like, as well as how people both incorporate witchy shit in their daily lives but also need to be careful with it if they don’t know what they’re doing.

It should go without saying that we were completely shook through the entire conversation. Mia blew our minds discussing the deeper etymology and psychology behind different words and intentions, but we feel it’s also important to note that there are several claims made in this episode that our listeners shouldn’t take as actual medical advice. Like, consult your trusted medical provider before pursuing a 40-day water fast, homie.

That being said, this episode will also really get your gears turning about the intersection of the Christian church and witchcraft. They stole many of their traditions, but burned them at the stake, and today we have entire lessons in middle schools about how bad the witches were that they got burned, while dismissing the “devilish” behaviors of the Christians who were burning the witches in the first place.

We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this episode!
