I really wanted to like this podcast because Tiffany’s weight loss is truly inspiring but I had to stop listening in the middle of episode two. Wendy is just totally out of touch with the struggle with obesity and I don’t think her voice is necessary. When discussing the body positivity movement she can’t help but mention several times that “glorifying obesity is dangerous”. Right. We all know that.

Body positivity isn’t saying that one shouldn’t become healthy. It means you should love yourself where you are. No matter the Wendy’s in your life who feign concern for your health, but are really just judgmental and can’t accept your larger body. If the hosts can’t understand this very simple concept then I don’t need to waste my time or emotions with them. I will learn nothing.

This episode alone made me unsubscribe and will tell others to do the same. It is problematic and does absolutely nothing to help people struggling with their weight and working for a better life.

Listening to this podcast feels like inviting good friends over for coffee. Wendy and Tiffany are relatable, funny, real, and open — not to mention full of excellent advice about jettisoning whatever weighs you down. While the premise is sisters talking about how one of them transformed her health and life through incredible weight loss, it’s about so much more than that. Lifting weight of any sort is empowering, and that’s the point. Spend time with these two and prepare for a huge mood and attitude boost! Can’t wait for future episodes.
