Season Finale: Growth Through Acceptance
In the season finale, Kristin and Joanne recap the learnings they’ve shared from such a personal project together. And of course it wouldn’t be a Like Mother, Like Daughter OR NOT episode without some DIFFICULT and vulnerable questions! Main Points: Helpful Reading: Thank you for tuning in to Season 1 of Like Mother, Like Daughter […]

Episode 9: How to Fight Smarter, OR NOT
Have you ever felt emotionally flooded? A downward spiral of unpleasant emotions where you’re on edge, issues keep piling up, and the blame game begins. You trade side eyes with your loved ones. You purse your lips to avoid a negative lash out. Or… you just burst volcanically. Today’s episode is how to “fight smarter,” […]

Episode 8: Helping My Mom Find Love, OR NOT
Oh how the tables have turned—Mom is out in the modern dating world, y’all! Being an adult child and hearing your mom’s dating escapades can feel weird and uncomfortable. Episode 7: My Way or the Highway, OR NOT
How do you resolve conflict with parents? Do you disengage? Treat them with hostility? Carry resentment? In my mom’s case, she found it […]

Vulnerability at it’s finest
This podcast hits you right in the feels! It feels so optimistically strange to hear a (Asian/immigrant) mother and daughter talk so openly about these topics, there’s so much emotion and transparency — and you can tell just how much work went into themselves and each other even being able to start a podcast together. Definitely listen if you want some validation, a blueprint for yourself, some hope for your own relationship, etc. I can’t wait to hear Kristin and Joanne continue to talk and grow through these conversations.
