Numbers That Will Define Washington's 2024 Season
The Washington Huskies have a lot of talent and production to replace under coach Jedd Fisch after Michael Penix Jr., Rome Odunze, Bralen Trice and others left for the NFL Draft or the transfer portal, but Fisch's coaching staff has done a good job adding talent through the ranks of high school recruiting and the transfer portal. When combining returning talents like Denzel Boston, Cameron Davis, Zach Durfee, Grady Gross, Carson Bruener, and Elijah Jackson with transfer portal products like Jonah Coleman, Ephesians Prysock, Will Rogers, Jeremiah Hunter, and Sebastian Valdez, the Huskies have a lot of promising players ready to break out as the Huskies move into the Big Ten.

Grading Washington's Incoming Transfer Portal and Recruiting Classes
Coach Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies have had a lot of work to do to rebuild the roster following its decimation from the transfer portal due to Kalen DeBoer's departure for Alabama, NFL Draft, and national championship loss to Michigan. The Huskies turned to the 2024 class to bring in players like Demond Williams, Jordan Washington, Adam Mohammed, Justin Hylkema, and Rahshawn Clark from the high school ranks while Cameron Broussard, Jayden Wayne, D'Angalo Titialii, DeShawn Lynch, Enokk Vimahi, Keleki Latu, and more found their way to Montlake through the transfer portal.

Comparing Jedd Fisch's Style to Kalen DeBoer's Washington Huskies Tenures
The Washington Huskies went through a major coaching change in the offseason, bringing in former Arizona Wildcats head coach Jedd Fisch after Kalen DeBoer departed for the Alabama Crimson Tide four days after the Huskies lost the national championship to the Michigan Wolverines. Fisch and DeBoer have a lot of similarities, from explosive offenses built around deep passing games, strong rushing attacks, and elite strength and conditioning coaches, but they also have a lot of differences and will once again go head-to-head on the try to sell recruits, including five-star cornerback Dijon Lee, four-star tight end Kaleb Edwards, three-star defensive tackle Josiah Sharma, and three-star safety Rylon Dillard-Allen on their respective programs.

The Washington Huskies Made A Strong Impression On Their Official Visitors
Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies hosted 16 prospects for their official visits over the weekend, with cornerbacks Dijon Lee and Daryus Dixson, linebackers Madden Faraimo and Matai Tagoa'i, along with offensive tackles John Mills and Demitri Manning, and edge rusher Devin Hyde among the names of those who descended on Montlake to check out what Fisch, defensive coordinator Steve Belichick, and the newest Big Ten school have to offer. The University of Washington athletic department also pulled in a fair amount of wins over the last week, with women's basketball coach Tina Langley earning a commitment from five-star prospect Brynn McGaughy, the men's crew team winning its 20th national championship, and Washington football's creative director Kasey Byers winning a local Emmy for his work with the Huskies.

The Washington Huskies Need to Add Some Commitments
Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies have done a very good job developing relationships with some of the nation's top prospects and will host 16 of them, including players like Dijon Lee, Andrew Marsh, Matai Tagoa'i, Daryus Dixson, Madden Faraimo, and Kaleb Edwards, on official visits over the weekend. But now, it's time to close on some of those prospects and turn those strong relationships into commitments, especially in the trenches, where three-star offensive tackles Demitri Manning and John Mills, along with four-star defensive lineman Smith Orogbo, and three-stars Chace Sims and Devin Hyde will all be on campus.
