    Patriarchy

    Patriarchy

Patriarchy is defined as a social structure characterized by male dominance and female oppression. The guys bow out for this episode so that Stephanie, Krystina, Sam and Lauren can freely discuss their experiences of patriarchy. Most of us unknowingly contribute to this social construct but there's a slow shift happening in how gender and sexuality are understood.

“Aristotle says, I am a rational animal….

I love what you guys are doing and I am thankful for the genuine openness of the dialog. I’ve got a few more miles in on this journey and have spent many lonely seasons because of the “churchianity” culture of my generation. To most of my peers and colleges in ministry I have been labeled and ostracized as the heratic, lost soul, victim of end times deception, and so on. A former badge of alienation and judgement, now a never-ending conversation of love and grace.
This format has come at just the right time for some and sadly to late for others, but a breath of truth and exploration none the less. Keep up the good work and keep taking the deep dives. Endless fathoms.
Peace and grace

“The ragamuffin who sees his life as a voyage of discovery and runs the risk of failure has a better feel for faithfulness than the timid man who hides behind the law and never finds out who he is at all.”

“The way of trust is a movement into obscurity, into the undefined, into ambiguity, not into some predetermined, clearly delineated plan for the future. The reality of naked trust is the life of the pilgrim who leaves what is nailed down, obvious, and secure, and walks into the unknown without any rational explanation to justify the decision or guarantee the future. Why? Because God has signaled the movement and offered it his presence and his promise.”

Honest and Raw

I have finished listening to all of the episodes. Please continue to make more! This has been my favorite podcast by far. It’s encouraging and honest especially if you’ve spent time in an evangelical setting that you could never quite make sense of, yet still yearn for a connection in you faith. Thanks for having these important conversations and allowing me to listen in. I’ve been inspired.

A must listen!

I’m not quite caught up yet, but I’ve been listening to these episodes as part of my Sunday morning for a few months now. I can’t say how encouraging these have been as I’m own my own faith journey. Thank you so much for the work you do!
