We love to hear your thoughts on these movies too! Email the show at meganandwendy@gmail.com and tell us how many stars you'd give Don't Go Breaking My Heart.

Megan and Wendy share their thoughts about Don't Go Breaking My Heart which premiered on Hallmark Channel on March 27, 2021.

News & Notes on Don't Go Breaking My Heart

Don't Go Breaking My Heart was originally titled Breakup Boot Camp (and we think Hallmark should have kept the original title).Nina Weinman wrote this movie. She also wrote Playing Cupid (Love Ever After), Two for the Win (New Year, New Movies) and Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater (Countdown to Christmas 2020).The movie took place in Portland, Oregon but was filmed in Langely, British Columbia. As someone who has visited Portland several times, it was fun to see some familiar landmarks in the exterior shots.Italia Ricci (Miranda) has starred in hit shows like Designated Survivor, Chasing Life, Supergirl and coming soon to The Good Doctor.

    Mentioned in this Episode:

What is the name of that song was at the end of Don't Go Breaking My Heart? It's called Wonder by Shawn Mendes.

A NOOM sign was displayed at the rock climbing gym where Miranda and Ben squared off in a climbing challenge. A commercial for NOOM was played after that scene.

What Stays and What Goes Post Pandemic?

Grateful for a worldwide pandemic? Probably not. But, were there parts of this past year that you've enjoyed and wouldn't mind sticking around for the year ahead?

For Megan, it was leaning in to her homebody comfort zone. Plus, she got to take a break from being social director. And the best of all? Curbside pickup. Can curbside pickup continue to be an option forever?

Wendy loved seeing her neighborhood come alive with kids at play, neighbors helping each other and a real sense of community bloom. Oh, and Door Dash.

Listen to the show to hear what else they liked and what can definitely see itself out. Also, did they learn anything more about themselves.

    Girls Gone Hallmark: Chasing Waterfalls

Hallmark Channel's Spring Fling line up kicks off with Chasing Waterfalls starring Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell. Listen in as Megan and Wendy chat about what they liked and what they wished for. Plus, what will the girls say when asked if they'd let a handsome stranger blindfold them in the forest? Email the show at meganandwendy@gmail.com.

Megan and Wendy are Girls Gone Hallmark in this bonus episode. Listen as they recap and review Chasing Waterfalls which premiered on March 20, 2021.

News and Notes About Chasing Waterfalls

The movie was filmed in remote locations of British Columbia. The real Loon Lake Lodge and Retreat Centre was used as exterior shots for the movie's Pinestone Lake Lodge.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Cindy Busby (@cindy_busby)

    Six Degrees of Cindy Busby

In 2017 Cindy Busby starred as Stephanie in Date My Dad a family comedy/drama which aired for one season on UP TV. Cindy's character was the obvious love interest for single dad Ricky played by Barry Watson. Did they ever hook up? I can't recall - do you?

We were fortunate enough to host the Date My Dad Facebook Live pre-show on UP TV's Facebook page. It was a fast and furious fifteen minutes for 10-weeks! We loved it and we loved Cindy Busby as Stephanie.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Megan and Wendy (@meganandwendylss)

    What is Chasing Waterfalls About?

Chasing Waterfalls is about a photographer who sets out on a dream assignment to photograph some of the world's most elusive waterfalls. Then, as in all Hallmark movies, meets a handsome gentleman who pushes her outside of her comfort zone and the two eventually fall in love and kiss. The end.

Would you ever let a man you met two days earlier blindfold you and lead you out into the depths of the wilderness? Never. No matter how good looking Christoper Russell is.

    Did Chasing Waterfalls Feature TLC?

No. The Hallmark Channel movie Chasing Waterfalls does not feature the R&B female pop sensation TLC or even their hit song of the same name. The song was only used in the commercial.

Megan shared that the TLC song is pretty dark and Hallmark basically romanticized the chorus to fit the movie narrative.

    Mentioned in this Episode

Shout out to the guys at Deck the Hallmark for pointing out the names of the characters in this movie during their Spring Fling podcast review episode. Amy Atwater (Cindy Busby) and Mark North (Christopher Russell) are almost a little too on the nose, right?
